Prison Ministry

Cornerstone Prison Ministry

“Remember my bonds” is what Paul said in his letter to the Colossians, while he is a brother in Christ, we are to reach the lost and minster to Christians who also share those same bonds. Cornerstone prison ministry rests on the chief cornerstone that is Jesus Christ, and the power to save those the world seems to have forgotten.

What We Do

Over the past twenty-five years, Cornerstone volunteers have had the opportunity to minister to thousands of inmates, men and women, and have traveled many miles to various institutions across PA. Cornerstone Prison Ministry also has a weekly bible study at the State Correctional Institution in Chester, SCI Graterford, and Montgomery County Prison.

Get Involved

The Prison Ministry is a volunteer process; even the preachers and Bible Study teachers are all volunteers. The only monies received are for reimbursement of expenses which is regulated by our Board of Directors (John Bilboe, Scott Wilson, Wayne Cooper and Randy Miley) as they normally head up the groups attending. As we can travel across PA, short trips are usually 1-2 hours away, and longer trips can range from 4-5 hours away.

Wayne Cooper

Program Director

As a pastor, Wayne has always found great joy in seeing souls saved and lives changed through the Word of God.  Now, as director of Cornerstone Prison Ministry, he rejoices to see it happen among those who are incarcerated.  Jesus said that he came “to heal the brokenhearted [and] to preach deliverance to the captives” (Luke 4:18).
