This can be a great year for you if you “Let God” have His way in your heart and life. The Lord knows how to direct our lives so much better than we do ourselves.

Last year I had the opportunity to fly a single-engine plane from Allentown to Collegeville. It was a lot of fun to fly over my house and our church and snap some pictures. This was my first time to fly a plane. Sitting right next to me was an experienced “Life Flight” pilot with many years of flying experience. I took the controls – just like a student pilot would – but the whole time the master pilot had his hand on his set of controls and steering wheel. I was the co-pilot as I sat next to the licensed pilot. Yes, he let me fly the plane, but the entire time he had complete control.

So it is with our lives – God is our pilot and we are the co-pilots. When we learn to follow the directions of our “Spiritual Pilot” and “LET GOD” control our lives, we can soar above our problems and trials and enjoy the beauty that God has planned for our lives.

Please take a moment to look at our church’s theme graphic for 2016. I want you to see those dark clouds. That’s life. Life’s hard – life can be black and white. Trials, sickness, debt, sorrow, pain, anger, grudges, upsets, consequences of sin – lots of bad things happen to us and those we know and love. But this is what happens when you “LET GOD” take the controls of your life. He brings color to your world. The dark clouds are still there, but when He is with you He brightens your day – even those hard and difficult days. Psalm 16:11 says, “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” What a wonderful promise!

How do we LET GOD direct our lives?

One way is to read God’s Word. In Psalm 119:105 the writer declares, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” The more you know, believe, and follow the Bible, the greater will be the peace, power, joy, and contentment you experience day by day and even hour by hour. Jesus said, “…I am come that [you] might have life, and that [you] might have it more abundantly” John 10:10.

Another way is to obey God’s leading through the Holy Spirit. When you are filled with the Spirit, God will prompt you to do good things – for Him and for others.

If you want to experience the fullness of God in your life, you are going to have to “LET GOD”… Let God in… Let God lead you… Let God guide you… Let God forgive you… Let God cleanse you… And Let God have His way in your life. You will not regret it.

Join us at 9:00 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. every Sunday as we discover the Scriptures that will show us how to “LET GOD” be the pilot of our lives.
